How to use DanceMix day-to-day
Use this flow if you are new to DanceMix:
- Open Home to see top artists, tracks, events, and latest updates.
- Visit Trends to see what is rising now.
- Use Search to jump to a specific artist, track, venue, or event.
- Create an account, then rate artists/tracks and follow artists.
- Check Recommendations for personalized discovery.
Use Search when you know what you are looking for.
- Enter a keyword (artist name, track title, venue, event name).
- Filter by entity type to reduce noise.
- Click a result to open details.
Tip: short, specific terms usually return the strongest matches.
Artist pages help you track performance and context.
- View profile basics, label/genre, and related tracks.
- See event participation and trend movement.
- If signed in: follow the artist, rate, and comment.
Track pages focus on DJ-friendly metadata.
- BPM, key, energy, danceability, and valence are shown where available.
- Open linked artists, labels, and genres to explore connected content.
- Rate tracks to improve recommendation quality.
- Events: upcoming/past shows, date windows, lineups, venue links.
- Venues: location and hosted events.
Sort event lists by date to prioritize what is next.
Trends show momentum by entity type (artist, track, venue, event, label).
- Use 7/30/90 day windows to compare short vs long movement.
- Trend badge indicates direction (surging, rising, stable, declining, falling).
- Confidence indicates signal strength.
- Why explains key drivers (momentum, mentions, sentiment, confidence).
Recommendations combine your behavior with platform-wide activity.
- Best results come after rating multiple tracks and artists.
- Recommendations include reasons so you know why an item was suggested.
- As you add more ratings, recommendations adapt automatically.
Sign-in is required.
- Rate artists/tracks from 1 to 5.
- You have one active rating per item (submitting again updates it).
- Comments are available on supported entity pages.
- You can remove your own comments and reactions.
- Register from the top-right menu.
- Profile shows your follows, ratings, and activity history.
- Use profile actions to manage your preferences over time.
- Open My Requests (top-right menu after login) to submit and track your own requests.
- Use simple titles and plain-language descriptions so your use case is clear.
- Check the status guide to understand where your request is in the process.
- Visit the Community Board to see and vote on popular requests from other users.
- Review Privacy Policy for data usage and controls.
- Review Terms of Use for acceptable use and provider attribution.
- Launch legal operations and review cadence are documented in
docs\legal-compliance-playbook.md.
Why are some fields blank?
Some metadata depends on source availability and enrichment timing.
Why did rankings change?
Rankings are snapshot-based and update when new activity arrives.
How do I improve recommendations quickly?
Rate at least 10 tracks and 5 artists, then revisit recommendations.
